Contracts of Employment – All Employers are legally obliged, under Section 1 of the Employment Rights Act 1996, to issue a statement of employment particulars within two months of the employee’s commencement date. Since the 1st October 2004, the issuing of an inadequate statement or the failure to issue a statement at all, can result in the imposition of a financial penalty on Employers.
