The facility will be located on the existing Cornton Vale site and contractors are now being invited to submit their bids for construction work.

The Scottish Prison Service are seeking a firm for a two-stage Design and Build contract, with Level 2 BIM a requirement.

Features of the facility will include; a health centre serviced by Forth Valley Health Board; education facilities for teaching and developing life skills; outdoor areas and a gymnasium. In addition, a quiet area will be built where women can also attend faith services.
